11th Flatrock Penitential Pilgrimage 2013

This 11th pilgrimage dedicated to the persecuted Christians in the Middle East

Schedule

Saturday, September 6th, 2014

10:15 a.m. to 4 p.m.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT ...

The schedule below may look "busy," but the day won't actually do you in.

You have about 2.5 hours of "penance," the busy part of the day - walking, praying and singing, from our Departure until Arrival at the Grotto. This can be physically tiring.

But then you actually get an hour-and-a-half  break :

From 1 p.m. until Mass at 2:30 is quiet, 'personal' time to rest, or pray your preferred devotion. Your choice. No "officially" scheduled activities (besides Confessions). You're on your own, to do as you please.

From Mass through Benediction you have a pew to sit in and kneelers to kneel on. Not physically arduous. But 90 minutes of concentrated prayer can be mentally tiring ... for those not used to it.

One thing we guarantee ... you'll sleep well Saturday night!
